November was an interesting month not just with opportunities being delivered via the North West Construction Hub and Royal visits but also in the everyday events I was involved with. We met the new Framework partners on the medium Value Framework and formed strong links for the future. I was asked to lecture to students at the The University of Salford on Public Sector Procurement and the role of Frameworks. It's was two sessions one in person in a lecture theatre and then a week later online for distance learning students.?

Other events have included participating in a Round Table Event with Ged Rooney and hosted by Place North West . I also attended an event for The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in Lancashire. We are looking to collaborate more with CIOB to support learning and development in the construction sector.

November was also the month that I stepped down from the Board of Directors for Forum for the Built Environment (fbe) . I have been involved with Fbe since the late 2000’s and a member of the Board for the last 5 years. My last formal duty as a Director was to hand over a cheque for over ￡7400 to the Captains Trust with Phil Osborne . The monies donated were raised from the North West annual Golf Day and donated to this exceptional charity. On my last day I was kindly invited to attend the fbe Greater Manchester Speakers and Sponsors dinner. It seemed fitting I finished my time with Fbe where it all started. I thank Ged Couser and all the committee past and present for their kind words and support. This is echoed to all the Branches I have been fortunate to worked with over the Years.
