City of Barrie Awards $2.5 Million Per Door Grant to YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka for Youth Transitional Housing Project

We're excited to announce that the City of Barrie has awarded the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka the Per Door Grant to support its Youth Transitional Housing project, an important initiative aimed at addressing the housing needs of vulnerable youth in Barrie and the surrounding area. This project will be a key component of the New Barrie YMCA centre of community, designed to foster inclusivity and support for young people.

Welcoming the New Director of YMCA Camp Kitchikewana

We are thrilled to share that Tim Mosser will be the next Camp Director of YMCA Camp Kitchikewana.

Tim brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to camp. Three generations of the Mosser family have been on Kitchi sands. Tim's children are past campers and were both on staff last summer. Tim was a Kitchi camper and staff member himself, and his father was also a camper and staff member before him.

As the baton is handed off, we want to thank Dylan Lalande, who is completing his time as Camp Director, for the passion and dedication he brought to camp. Please join us in congratulating Tim on this exciting new role, and wishing Dylan the best of luck in his future endeavours.
