?? Providing relief at homeless hostels

The Winter Project in Cardiff offers shelter for homeless individuals during the colder months.?

Each winter, Cardiff Council opens additional accommodation, striving to get as many people as possible off the streets. Last year, a record 170 people benefited from this project, and this year they aim to reach even more.

Our new relief workers have recently completed intensive training sessions, which included interactive exercises and roleplays, to prepare them for this vital initiative.

Q & A with…our Worcester Branch

This month we caught up with our lovely Worcester team! We talked mixed grill, cupcakes and being big kids at heart!

What are the main areas of industry/ job roles that your branch covers??

We work with health and social care clients across Worcestershire and the West Midlands, supplying Support Workers and HCAs to a variety of settings.

?

What roles are you currently recruiting for?

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers who drive owing to the rural location of some clients.

?

Tell us a little about the team!

Sarah is our Branch Manager. She loves spending time with family and friends and is a big kid at heart so loves doing activities and going on adventures with her son. ??♂???♂?

Kane is our Senior Recruitment Consultant and is celebrating his third anniversary with us this month! He has just become a Daddy for the first time to a beautiful baby daughter which is very exciting and he is also an amazing cook - he is always bringing in some amazing-looking dishes that smell delicious! ??

Jai is our Recruitment Consultant who has been with us for nearly a year. He loves to travel and experience different cultures. He hates to cook but is always happy to wash up! ???

Why do you work well together?

We are a well-bonded team, we all have our strengths and weaknesses that we utilise to be successful.

What office traditions do you have?

We like a Friday drink together and occasionally go out for food. Jai has introduced us to a ‘mixed grill’ at his favourite Indian restaurant. We also like to occasionally do an office ‘bake off’, cupcakes being our favourite!

?? Joining us with a crazy amount of HR experience in recruitment, we were very lucky then and we’re still lucky now.

?

?? She’s one of the friendliest, kindest and most approachable members of the Group (phew) and gives us sound advice daily.

?

?? She’s also partial to a good party and a holiday in the sun – she goes to some amazing destinations like Cuba and Jamaica, which makes us all jealous.

?

???? She’s an amazing mum to her two lovely boys and has some fabulous Halloween costumes that thankfully she shares with us when we need them! ????

What's Up Doc?

Nic Bevan from our Cheltenham branch will be taking part in the Mascot Race at Cheltenham Racecourse this weekend…dressed as none other than Bugs Bunny! ????

He is raising £1000 for the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice in Cheltenham.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
