Two weeks ago, we gathered with changemakers from all across our region. In celebrating, we renewed our collective focus on ensuring every resident can thrive.

What does it look, sound, and feel like to be in community? That night, it looked like people reaching across the table to better hear each other’s stories. Our conversations were loud and filled with laughter. Pizza in hand, people voted for three nonprofits to receive funding from local giving circles. Those we honored onstage shared their recognition with everyone on the floor. Community, in one night, feels like trusting yourself, finding your people, and committing to action together.?

Our community is resilient, in large part because of the strong relationships we have and will continue to build. Whether you take a big or small step now or in a moment, the Spur Local team is here as a resource. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you’re looking for a thought partner to get started on connecting with a local nonprofit and taking action on an issue.
