Welcome to our November edition! This month we highlight our recent funding, share insights from our latest workshop with young children, and introduce our newest team member. We also reflect on our time at the World Vaccine Congress. Don't miss the full stories here! ?

Big News: We’ve Secured €3M in Funding!??

We are thrilled to announce that we've secured €3M in funding, led by Myosotis Investments BV.?

This investment marks a significant milestone in our journey and will enable us to accelerate our efforts in advancing our proprietary intradermal vaccination technology. With these resources, we will continue pushing forward with our global expansion, intensifying our research, and working toward further establishing our position in the market.?

Here are our three key areas of focus moving forward:?

1. Commercialization of VAX-ID Technology: We’ll be focusing on obtaining the necessary medical certifications for VAX-ID in both Europe and the United States. This will allow us to bring our ground-breaking technology to a broader audience.?
2. Generation of Clinical Evidence: We aim to generate additional clinical evidence in both therapeutic and prophylactic vaccination to strengthen the scientific backing for VAX-ID.?
3. Team Expansion: We’re continuing to grow and expand our team, bringing in more experts to ensure we have the capabilities to push these ambitious goals forward.?

We are excited about what’s ahead and grateful for the continued support as we work to revolutionize the future of vaccines.?

We love sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm for vaccines to all audiences?

A fun fact shared by our CEO Vanessa Vankerckhoven and CTO Koen Beyers , at a kids workshop for 10-year olds organized by TAJO: The term "vaccine" comes from the Latin word vacca, meaning "cow," a nod to Edward Jenner's 1796 discovery when he vaccinated a boy named James against smallpox using cowpox. Next to this historical insight, they explained other vaccine facts as well as the?importance of?delivery methods. ?

During the session, the kids participated in a fun KAHOOT quiz to test their knowledge and enjoyed a hands-on workshop where they "vaccinated" oranges, tangerines, and sponges to simulate the process of vaccinating muscles, skin, and fat. The activity sparked dreams of future careers, from doctors and nurses to lawyers (as they felt that being a lawyer would?make them rich the quickest ??)!?

Three key words to sum up our experience at the World Vaccine Congress in Barcelona: include - Innovation, Knowledge and Fun.?

There was a lot of buzz around intradermal vaccination technologies and therapeutic vaccines. Our booth was lively, and we received nice feedback on our pitch presentation. We are ready to carry forward these insights and explore the follow-up opportunities.?
