Novelis Inc., the world's largest recycler of aluminium and producer of beverage can sheet revealed the company's new laminated aluminium surfaces for beverage can ends, which will be displayed from September 27 to 29 at ALUMINIUM 2022 in Düsseldorf. For European beverage companies and can producers, this ground-breaking technology enhances the aesthetic of beverage containers, boosts production process effectiveness, and reduces CO2 emissions. Thus, it strengthens Novelis' position as a leader in the expanding market for aluminium beverage packaging.

For the premium beverage sectors, excellent surfaces and colour stability are particularly crucial. The brand-new aluminium sheet from Novelis includes a laminating layer in black. The laminating film complies with all standards set forth by the food and beverage industries and is devoid of PFAS, BPA, and per- and poly-fluoroalkyl compounds. Apart from this, it requires less cleaning leading to increased productivity. Compared to the traditional liquid coating, the lamination of aluminium coils for can ends reduces CO2 emissions by 33% since it uses less heat and chemicals.
