It finally feels like Europe’s solar industry is back in full swing after the holidays. Two weeks ago, I got to connect with many of Europe’s Solar Industry executives in London at Solar Finance and Investment Europe. I had the opportunity to speak on a panel looking at how investors can best keep up with the constant march of technology in the solar industry. Not only was it a great chance to connect with industry peers, but it was a fantastic opportunity to share our thoughts on the future of our industry.?

My colleague José Carlos Lopez, Vice President of Business Development EMEA, will be in attendance at Large Scale Solar EU in Lisbon in March. If you are located in Southern Europe and would like to learn more about what we’re up to, it could be a great opportunity to connect with our EU team.?

Former Canadian Finance Minister to Chair NovaSource Board?

We are proud to announce that Bill Morneau has been appointed chairman of NovaSource’s Board of Directors. Mr. Morneau contributes a wealth of experience to this position, having served as Canada’s Minister of Finance and as a member of Parliament from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, he was chair and CEO of Morneau Shepell (now Lifeworks), a human resources services organization that grew to become Canada’s largest under his leadership. Italy Set to Expand Europe's First Solar Gigafactory

Italian energy utility Enel is set to significantly expand its 3Sun solar panel factory located in Catania. The factory, which currently produces around 200 MW per year, will be scaled up to an impressive 3 GW by July 2024. This is a major step for Europe in re-establishing its once dominant solar PV industry. Enel’s CEO recognizes the significance of the project, hoping it can serve as a proof of concept for Europe once again producing PV panels that are competitive in international markets. The factory produces bifacial PV modules, giving the continent domestically produced, highly efficient modules, at a scale not seen before now.?Read more >>
