Novaltia Builds New DC with KNAPP

KNAPP and Novaltia have set the stage for the next phase of their partnership.

With a new project underway at Novaltia's headquarters in Saragossa, the Spanish pharmaceutical wholesaler is once again turning to KNAPP's comprehensive solution to enhance their operations.

Using the intelligent all-in-shuttle solution for automated order fulfilment means that the logistics processes in the new DC will be kept trim, with precise sequencing making flexible, reliable order fulfilment possible.

Today, Novaltia operates five distribution centres and delivers to more than 1,000 pharmacies – up to five times daily – ensuring all their pharmacies are always provided with medicines.

The two companies have been partners for 24?years.

Innovative, sustainable shuttle solution

Novaltia chose KNAPp's all-in-one shuttle solution, featuring the five-aisle OSR Shuttle Evo system with approximately 49,000 storage locations, supplying four ergonomic Pick-it-Easy Evo workstations.

Additionally, two OSR shuttle sorters are dedicated specifically to dispatch.

The warehouse is designed to handle an impressive throughput of 1,200 order containers per hour, with a capacity exceeding 40,000 SKUs.
