Notion

This week, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for being loyal readers of this newsletter. Your support and engagement mean the world to me!

You may have noticed a small but meaningful change - the newsletter is now called Tied to Metrics. This new name aligns perfectly with my podcast of the same name, which I’m thrilled to announce has just launched!

Episode 1 is now live, and I’d love for you to check it out. The podcast dives deep into the strategies, habits and insights that drive high-performance professionals like you toward greater productivity and success.

As always, my goal is to bring you actionable advice that helps you optimize your time, energy and results.

And now onto this week's newsletter:

Google Drive stores.

Notion thinks.

Here’s why that matters...

Productivity is more about mindset than tools, but Notion is so transformative that even a productivity coach can’t help but share it.

Most productivity tools are great at doing one thing:

  • Google Drive? A solid home for documents.
  • Trello? Fantastic for task tracking.

But - Productivity isn’t just about managing files or ticking boxes.

It’s about creating a workspace that reflects how you think and work.

That’s where Notion stands out.

Notion isn’t just a workspace:

  • It puts your chaotic mind in order.
  • It isn’t just a tool
  • It’s a philosophy.

(not trying to write a Notion poem here ??)

  • Notion is built on the idea that productivity thrives when your workspace is as adaptable as your mind.
  • Instead of forcing you into rigid structures, Notion gives you building blocks - pages, databases, and links - so you can design workflows that feel intuitive to you.

And unlike Google Drive, which organizes information in folders - Notion thrives on context and connection.

A note can link to a task, a task can connect to a project and a project can anchor a broader goal.

It’s less about storage and more about relationships between ideas.

How has Notion transformed my productivity though?

It actually works the way I think (thats the best I can come up with because you actually have to use it to understand it).

Getting started is easy with their free sign-up option, built-in tutorials and tons of great guides on YouTube.

If you’re looking to improve your workflow, give it a try.

Kat - love the new title! I have heard people rave about Notion, and have always used OneNote for my business "stuff" and Evernote for personal. Have you used either of them? I'm curious about the advantages of Notion.
