Notice A New Defense CUI Category called PSI?
Did you notice a NEW Defense CUI category in the National Archive (NARA) CUI Registry?
It is called "Privileged Safety Information" (PSI).
PSI Marking: Banner marking is just BASIC marking.
PSI Category Description: "PSI is information reflective of a deliberative process in the safety investigation or given to a safety investigator under a promise of confidentiality, which the safety privilege?protects from being?released outside safety channels or from being used for any purpose except?mishap prevention."
It is important to understand that the CUI Registry is dynamic.
Make sure to read not only the category titles but also your contracts and the associated laws, regulations, and government-wide policies before drawing any conclusions about what is or isn’t in scope for that category.
To find the associated laws, regulations, and government-wide policies, go to the specific CUI Category page under the "Safeguarding and/or Dissemination Authority" section.
