Last Sunday marked a milestone in my life with the launch of my book in Tamil, a moment I had been looking forward to for quite some time. But the day wasn’t without its challenges. An air show nearby, in the marina beach caused a heavy crowd and traffic congestion (approximately 15,00,000 ( 1.5 million) people came to witness it), and I honestly braced myself for a quieter event. But what unfolded was nothing short of a miracle.
As I arrived at the venue, I saw familiar faces – my friends, relatives and my students, who came out despite the chaos surrounding us. To see people carving out time and effort to be present, braving the crowds, truly filled my heart with gratitude. Each one of you who attended, each one of you who made a valiant attempt to come and each one of you who sent your well wishes, brought so much meaning to this launch. Your presence was a testament to the power of the shared love of our relationship that binds us all.
The presence of the guests - Honourable Judges, Public personalities and Senior Government Officials who took extra effort to be in time to start the event as expected helped move the program as smoothly as planned. My heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you, the guests and the participants for making this event a grand success.
In a world where schedules are packed, and unexpected events happen, I’m humbled that so many of you chose to be there with me. This isn’t just my book—it’s “our” book, as it was born from the many lessons we’ve shared together over the years. To each of you, thank you for showing up, for your support, and for making this moment truly unforgettable. Thanks to my sister, my relatives, my friends, my neighbours and my students who took extra effort to see to that the event went on smoothly and successfully.
Beyond the air show, it was truly a show of strength of our strong bonding and relationship that I am completely humbled and will remain in my heart forever.
