I caught someone on TV tying himself in knots to minimize the clouds of pollution spreading across much of the eastern US. It was completely ridiculous and reminded me of the Leslie Nielsen “nothing to see here” meme. I then did what you’d expect – I entered into ChatGPT a detailed description of the raging fires and sickly orange haze that settled over NY and as far south as the Carolinas, and asked it to churn out a positive spin, ala this complete jackass on TV. I essentially challenged ChatGPT to out-hack the hack. I never imagined that ChatGPT could be such an inspired – and demented – bs artist (the text that follows is taken verbatim):
