Challenge The Way You Exist.

There is nothing random in the universe

The fact was not understood till the time, I encountered what is considered to be fiction for many.

It was icy night of November 1993, when I was sitting with few of my friends in a hostel’s room. While we were involved in chatting, nature was preparing for remaking the world for me in particular.

One of the friends named Asif, accidentally shot fire and it hit me while leaving all other 7 souls present in room.

The bullet decided to make history by creating 5 draining points in my body with a single journey. Since bullets are made to do damage, I take that bullet to an extent where it served its purpose of existence completely.

With both the arms broken, nerves damaged, flesh removed and falling in the hands of others, I was rushed to nearby hospital. Then the story of treatment carries a long detail comprising of multiple surgeries, electric shocks for nervous revamp and helplessness in carrying daily rituals where both the arms were not to support for a year and half.

I usually recall this phase of my life amid hundreds of students while standing on public speaking forums and I never miss out to pay my gratitude to creator for selecting me that November night instead of anyone else. The purpose of this gratitude is my look back on the occurrence, connecting dots of the proceedings thereafter and remaking of my charisma in the process.

Post-treatment phase of my life detected societal rejection of a student who never tasted the flavor of #2 in educational career. I was known to be the topper of class ere I was undergoing the moments where colleges were facing me with flat expressions while denying my admission in their institutes with a fear of damage to overall success percentage of their annual achievement.

It was once said; “As fire is to gold, Adversity is to men”.

I have observed many theories working exactly the way these are written in books. Since it is more than 2.5 decades old story, I must confess that many of these theories were unheard to me. Though I had no idea about Law of attraction, yet I have observed all elements of universe being mobilized for my cause.

The challenge the simply taken. It was as simple as blink of an eye. A young boy who was just 18 years old had self-commitment about making the world realize about his potential.

Next eight months of my life were most engaging, memorable, exciting yet extremely focused months. It was era of learning, consulting reference books, meeting mentors and practicing like a maniac for almost 18 hours a day… every day for 8 months consecutively.

Approaching from engineering background, I had found myself entombed among commerce based brains. People tend to eat and drink in binary coding of 0 & 1. It took me good couple of weeks before I was in step with them. It was not very late, when I was publicized to be part of their V-Team.

V-Team was a esteemed league of few students who were assumed to be the skimming talent of institute. From that day onward, I had to place my A- game on the table, as one single wrong move was presumably considered fatal enough to knock me out of the ring.

Memories of attempting mock papers every day, where I had to write for 3 hours daily echo my mental retina. Reaching out mentors and teachers to let them mark my papers and guide about improvement areas was a new normal by then. I practiced to the level, where I started attempting papers while considering myself as an examiner. The mastered art of writing what exactly is required by examiner and avoiding all those things which potentially may create bad taste for the observer were well understood.

Final examinations arrived and I along with all colleagues tried to give best shot. I was used to review my every paper once I get back from college and started mentioning my assumed marks of that paper. As per nature’s defined rule of time being flying and never stopping, our exams got concluded and we were anxious to have our result.

On that sunny bright day when result was announced, I was paying my gratitude to Allah swt, family and mentors who had helped me top the ranking charts and bringing all the glories to my institute. Local newspapers captured my success story and people started asking me recipe of success.

From that day, it is almost 2.5 decades where I had been sharing success recipe with my audience. Writing this article is again the simple intent of giving my experience and wisdom to people around me.

Being a learning enthusiast, I strongly believe that I possess neither knowledge nor vocabulary to share such a vast topic, yet I will try to give simplest, fundamental by effective criterion to measure success rate of your current journey towards excellence.

You must own following attributes like DNA of your character

1.      Gratitude
2.      Persistence
3.      Self-Belief
4.      Faith
5.      Self-Discipline
6.      Excellence

While I was working on above attributes on daily basis, my mentors shared their wisdom by intimating me to avoid following attributes cautiously:

1.      Procrastination
2.      Distractions
3.      Mediocrity
4.      Selfishness

5.      Thinking small

Above article is a draft which is more than a simple story, self-promotional write-up to win more likes or a random thought.

To me, it is a sacred and tested recipe of success which is being offered to all readers irrespective of their age, location and experience. You are reading this at the moment, because when somebody was writing it, he was praying for your success in advance.

Good luck.

What an inspiring story of resilience! Fighting the odds and coming on top through relentless effort is an attribute of very few... An apt title as well, there's certainly nothing random in our universe. When you embark on a journey, elements of nature conspire to make things happen for you!
