Nothing!

Nothing!

Hasn’t God earned the right to be trusted?

You and I trust people and stuff every day that are not nearly as great as the one true God. We visit doctors whose names we cannot pronounce – doctors that we never saw attend one day of medical school. We get prescriptions from those doctors that we cannot read. We take those prescriptions from our doctors that we cannot read to a pharmacist that we do not know and we take medicine from the pharmacist that we have never heard of and then we trust that we are going to feel better.

In the United States, 150 bridges collapse every year and yet we trust them not to fail while we drive across them. And … what about trusting the men who built the bridges not knowing what medicine they were on when the work was done.

Throughout my life, I have trusted many things: auto mechanics, taxi drivers, roller coasters, the water supply, elevators, 24 hour antiperspirants and long lasting breath mints. If we can trust a product called scope, surely we can begin to trust or continue to trust the one true God.

After all, doesn’t God promise us in Luke 1:37 that, “…nothing is impossible with (Him)”
