Nothing was left

Nothing was left

We thought we needed more technology, more devices, more objects. We forgot we only needed sun, water and soil.

Nothing was left. They let everything fall apart.

"It is not my problem" everyone said. But then, there was nothing left to be saved. We were all closed in our little universes of loneliness, emptiness, while around everything was dying.

I couldn't save the others. They kept ignoring the signals and, then, it was too late. I still remember how it was breathing some fresh air, or touching the icy cold water in the ocean.Only far memories.

I saved any little thing I could. As an oyster, I protected myself with a shell and I survived in the only reasonable way. I went back to Nature. I saved a little corner of Nature and Nature saved me. They kept destroying every living thing outside, so I brought it inside, where they couldn't reach it. When I open the door of B-612, I walk through the rebirth path, surrounded by nature, gaining my balance. Home is where we feel safe, where we feel loved.

I made its wall with timber and adobe bricks, hoping Nature would forgive us, one day, and decide to grow back again on them. B-612 wasn't suppose to last. My house and me were only temporary occupiers of this land. We never really owned anything, eventually.

So my house, like me, was supposed to die one day.
