Nothing lasts forever....
We believe all powered gate systems, should remain reliably safe in operation for a reasonable, or better life expectancy, 15 to 20+ years should be achievable with good design and scheduled routine maintenance & servicing.
Not all systems will last as long as each other, nor will they be as safe or reliable as one-and-other. A current estimated life expectancy on any installation may be provided upon request and following inspection, along with upgrade recommendations if required.
Every system design, its environment, its foundations, the equipment & controls used, along with the quality of installation employed, as well as cabling used, etc. will have a direct bearing on the installation’s reliability and its operational life expectancy.
To achieve any reasonable success in regard to continued system performance, functionality, safe operation and estimated life, we recommend installations are designed in keeping with the Gate-a-mation deign guide since 1992 and to the requirements of the DHF & NSI Code-of-practice DHF TS 011:2016, as best as is practical to achieve.
Also all system repairs and any modifications, should be undertaken as close as practicable to the requirements of both guides and by suitably qualified persons.
Better quality design & installation, results in lower ownership costs over time, as well as greater performance and user satisfaction. Nothing lasts forever!... When should owners save up for a new one?
Resident associations, managing agents, premises managers, owners and alike should have fair warning when a costly capital investment is becoming likely! So to be prepared is a boy scout motto we can all benefit from.
Huge installations costs can be saved by utilising modern solutions such as TelGuard telephone entry and Internet security solutions, among many others.
