Nothing Will Destroy The Church

God is both righteous to judge the wicked and sufficiently powerful enough to equip the believer. In Psalm 7 David makes a promise to God.
“I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High,” (Psalm 7:17 NASB).
David lifts up both hands towards heaven in prayer and praises God for two reasons, because he is righteous and the Most High.
God steps in with strength and power as the Most High when the church is in trouble. He is the waking warrior who defeats his enemies with one stroke. Yet, he is righteous to judge the wicked when they set a trap or snare against us. No man can match either His power or His judgment.
These attributes of God guarantee the survival of the church and the Gospel message. The church doesn’t progress forward because of the schemes and plans of man. No amount of lights, popular Bible studies, or friendship circles will save it. Only God. That’s His part.
Our part is to pray, which is what David has modeled to us throughout this Psalm. Whenever we feel like the church is over and done with, don’t put any confidence in man. Pray to God.
