What A Conference!
I LOVE the event industry because it is filled with individuals who are competing with each other, but also willing to come together to encourage and support one another. Tripleseat -with Eventcamp- created a space to have amazing conversations and create some really solid new connections in my network.
I had the privilege of joining Katie Goyette, Amy Rebecca Hodgson and Krysten Licari on a panel entitled The Skillful No: How To Seal Deals While Asserting Boundaries. They say if you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room and being surrounded by extremely talented, passionate and knowledgeable panelist is something I will always cherish. Huge shoutout to Arianna Favia for doing an amazing job moderating (pictured below). I've had numerous notes thanking us for our thoughts and encouragement which I love.
The sessions were FILLED with data and takeaways that I will spend the next few weeks sorting through! The welcome remarks along were filled with data and trends that will challenge me to adjust the approach I offer to my clients! For instance, is our online persona (website, search, social) all doing the work to convince people to book with our venue/concept? Events are still strong, but the competition to land them will continue to heat up!
Sam Appel Reimers, ACC walked us through some exercises that challenged us to consider our desired outcomes in life. and work towards having more balance. Her session Designing For Fulfillment In Your Career & Life has challenged me to make some small incremental changes in my daily life.
The session on Building Dynamic Teams reminded us of the impact that we can have when we create environments for others to thrive and feel confident in. Communication remains key and those that take the time to engage and encourages those in their charge will continue to see success.

Lance Tyson pulled out all of the stops during The Human Sales Factor with challenging some of our closely held beliefs about selling. With deals taking longer as more contacts are needed to connect and convince, being intentional with your efforts and communication is more important than ever before.
Campfire Chat: What Event Planners Are Looking For In A Venue was very insightful. Hearing directly from planners and hearing how they like to be approached, things we can do to stand out and things we should avoid doing and saying contained many actionable items.
From the welcome party held at Grace By Nia to the event held at BIG NIGHT LIVE (one of my favorite speaking venues now), I have nothing but great memories and awesome experiences to remember this event by! If you read this far, I highly recommend this conference for 2025.
