I'm running my "Publish a book in Just ONE Day" workshop tomorrow and I can't wait. The course evolved out of my 5-day challenge, so I knew it could be done, however, to guarantee success, I've made a couple of tweaks.
By putting these two processes in place, the participant's focus is around learning how to make a product that is unique to them. They can then go on to learn how to make their own books and source graphic designers later.
So, what 3 tweaks can you make to a simple notebook template to make it unique?
Add an image
A trick that I employ is to add a clipart image to the header of the document so that it automatically populates all the pages in the file.
It takes about 20 clicks in total to do this, and less than one minute in time, but it's a quick and easy way to add value to your notebook.
Add your logo and you have a simple branded notebook.
Add some text
This can be in the header or footer of the document, and it can take the form of a quote, slogan or affirmation.
Add a cute font style or your branded font style, and again you've added something of value to your notebook.
Add a background
One of my favourite ways of personalising a notebook is by adding a background. I actually add two images. Once for the background, and one that sits in front of it so that the notebook lines are visible.
Just be aware that if you add a colour background then the printing costs will increase. However, it will make it more appealing for some people.

Why notebooks?
Notebooks are the simplest of books to make, and you can use them:
I use my own notebooks/journals all the time and it allows me to have a bespoke, personalised product in my business.
Finally
I'll be running my "Publish a Book in Just ONE Day" workshop on a monthly basis, and it's strictly limited to 5 participants to ensure that you get the maximum support throughout the course.
It's a great way to dip your toe into self-publishing.
Emily Dickinson once said: "Whenever a thing is done for the first time, it releases a little demon." and in this course, you have the opportunity to banish the self-publishing demon in a fun and safe environment.
