A Note to Those Who Fear Change!

A Note to Those Who Fear Change!

As someone who rarely makes New Year’s commitments, I embraced one this year: "Aspire to Inspire." The rationale: when we learn, is when we create more value.

In the past few months, I’ve challenged myself in both professional and personal life, seeking new experiences and perspectives. I attended and led workshops, mentored new talent, and collaborated on diverse projects, all while stepping outside and stretching myself to engage with different people in varied settings.

In the following poem, I explore the essence of transformation—how it shapes our thoughts, relationships, and aspirations. I hope you like it, feel a connection, and may it inspire you.

Change is a journey, diverse and wide,?

You might wonder, “How do I decide?”

Change isn’t just about where you stand,?

It’s a shift in your thoughts, a new way to expand.?

Change is a challenge, an adventure to seek,?

It calls for self-care, so take time each week.?

Shed old perceptions, break free from the norm,?

Find a mentee, let fresh ideas transform.?

?

Reprioritize often, don’t let life stall,?

Attend that event, meet faces, stand tall.?

Change up the dialogue, freshen your view,?

Swap lunch partners, embrace something new.?

?

A siloed change won’t truly transform,?

It may seem daunting, but it’s part of the norm.?

Change can feel heavy, may make you upset,?

Yet it helps us discern what we control and what’s best.?

?

Define what you need, and where change should flow,?

For change is the constant, in this world’s vibrant show!?

?

Be you an introvert or an extrovert bold,?

Change is a challenge for the young and the old.?

Embrace the unknown, let adaptability shine,?

In this fluid world, let change be your guiding light!

Thank you for this inspiring message on embracing change! It's a powerful reminder that growth often comes from stepping outside our comfort zones and adapting to new circumstances. Change, though challenging, is an opportunity to evolve, innovate, and rediscover ourselves. ??
