The Gap Year is Over. What Next?

Well first thing on the list today was to secure a room for CES ... for tonight. Not pretty. Going to CES was a late decision, so I mistakenly bet the farm on Hotel Tonight. Well I found one ... but wow. In my defense I will be changing hotels tomorrow and staying Friday and Saturday night at $200 per night. But tonight ... ouch! Can't wait to see 180,000 of my closest friends. As the winner of the Nordic Extreme Tech Challenge in October, Huddly gets a speaking slot at the Vegas XTC semifinals on Saturday. The winners go to Necker Island. I'll report back on both CES and XTC next week.

Looking back ...

A hell of a year! Plenty of time in the Airstream. Plenty of time in the mountains. Too much time at the doctor. More time in Oslo than in Florida. Updated my resume and it turns out I'm still employable ... and I still want to be employed! Imagine that.

I expect to see a bunch of VR/AR/MR gear at CES. I also expect it to look pretty much the same. It's going to take a few generations to get it right, but get it right they (we) will and nothing will be the same. I'll post my thoughts on CES on return.

The LinkedIn weekly gap year experiment is over, but I will continue to post here on a wide variety of topics. It will be different from the last year. Did I mention the book challenge ... yep that's on the list for 2017 too. Meeting an illustrator today.

This year is going to be crazy. Crazy fun! Let's all ship some great products together in 2017.

Keep an eye on Huddly. It's gonna be epic! Tick tock, tick tock. It's fun to be back at a small startup.
