There is a great deal of information circulating about how you can operate your business at this very uncertain time, but I want to let you know what steps I am taking not only to ensure we continue to support our clients, but how I am looking after the health and wellbeing of my team too.
- Our teams are now working fully remotely to limit contact with others, ensuring we remain available to answer any questions as our clients need us
- Our phonelines and emails remain fully operation and manned at all times to offer support to our clients but also to each other
- We are providing daily updates to our staff with anything that affects their welfare, which remains paramount to us
- I personally contact each and every member of my staff to ensure they are all healthy, have what the need and feel supported
- I will continue to encourage staff to have their breaks as they would in the office - this is so important to ensure they don't feel like they don't get away from work
Working from home allows us to carry on our business as usual, as much as any business can during this time, but as with everything it is not a perfect situation for everyone. I recognise that remote working can be a lonely time and people miss the support of their colleagues and leaders.
Anxiety at the moment is particularly prevalent and understandably so. This is why it is extremely important that we keep the lines of communication open, offer support and share the tools and resources should anyone need to call on them.
Examples of some external resources are shown below, I am sharing these so you too can share with your teams if you feel someone may need a little help:
https://sanctus.io/managing-your-mental-health-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak/
These provide some great support for anyone that feels they need help with coping alone, remotely or even just the stress of the uncertainty that lies ahead for us all.
In order to best support our clients and the wider business community, we have set up a dedicated coronavirus landing page and will ensure that this is kept up to date with useful employer HR information (https://content.hrrevolution.co.uk/en-gb/coronavirus-employer-advice).
We are also aiming to share some #positivevibes via our social media channels too on ways we can work better together while apart and advice and guidance on mental health and wellbeing.
We hope these steps go some way to reassuring you that not only can we continue to service our clients but our employees are being looked after at this worrying time for everyone.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact either me or any of the HR Revolution team.
Best wishes and stay safe,
Wendy
