Note Making Strategy for Students

For some of us, new semesters are about to begin as we wonder what our note making strategy should be. As a student at 英国赫瑞瓦特大学 , after doing a bit of research and applying the tips learnt, I have made some small changes in the way I approach studying which has enhanced my productivity.

Our brains are similar to machines in the sense that it's productivity is indirectly proportional to the load we put on it. The lesser we try to remember each and everything, lower will be the stress allowing our brain to function effectively. Here are a couple of tips I want to share with the community which have helped me immensely: -

• Breaking Down the Problems - Separate concerns and break down the problem into smaller components to get solutions faster
• REUR ( Read Understand/MakeNotes Explore Revise ) - I really like to read something first to give it a glance, followed by making notes on it which I can refer to in future. Exploring more about the topic helps me gain a better understanding to retain the information while revising
• Trust the Process - Failing to solve a problem and getting stuck with it is not the end of the world. Important is to keep working, taking regular breaks and trusting the process.
