A Note of Gratitude - Thank You

As we are heading towards the closure of yet another year, 2020 what do we see when we look back? This question seems a simple one but it has a lot of more shades enclosed within.
Every new year begins with resolutions and promises about this is the year that I will accomplish my goals and objectives which I couldn't complete during the previous years. But most of the times we fail to keep up with the goals because the spirit within us died because we couldn't visualise the results. Becoming too much focused on the results we hadn't noticed a part of ourselves had changed during the period, the resistance to change was the battle we fought within but couldn't keep it long enough for it to bear the fruit.
A saying goes,
"When you sow a seed today, you cannot reap it the next day"
It takes time to nurture it from the sapling until it grows to bear the fruit you seek. Life is like a seed, it goes through the ups and downs, the obstacles and rejections one faces in the pursuit of his dreams are incomparable. We cannot wish life to get easier, we need to toughen ourselves up to stand tall. If we don't stand for anything, then we will fall for everything in life.
Nothing out here comes with a guarantee, even your life! Let's take a moment to thank god for having helped us survive through this tough year, a pandemic that saw countless losses and miracles happening. This was just a reminder that we cannot take things for granted always, what can happen tomorrow is not in our control but what is in our control is TODAY, this moment is never coming back. Let's use it wisely, now most of you would relate it is easier said than done. Yes, it takes effort, commitment, persistence, and above all a desire to do something.
We have got just one shot at life, and we don't need a life-threatening situation again to believe that, "Hey guess what I should have done this when I had time!" 2020 another decade done and dusted, don't let it go as every single year would pass on. For a change look back at all those small achievements, little moments of gratitude like the friend standing beside you through these tough times, the family who supported you, the teacher who showed you there is always a way to come out of trouble, anyone be it who made a difference in your life, let them know you are thankful for their time and wisdom.
The whole world came to a standstill when a pandemic occurred and showed us that humanity still survives and the people who served us to keep us safe and secure during this period came out of their bubble to add value to the life of another. Pay it forward the kind gesture and keep adding value to others life like the way someone did it for you.
"Three most valuable words that I learnt - Please, Thank You, Sorry"
These words though we are aware of has been the hardest to speak out to someone. I myself have been in these shoes where I couldn't keep my self-esteem high and thought myself to be someone lower than others. If it weren't for the right guidance, I wouldn't have been able to grow deep from within. I came to accept the fact the perfection is not the key element, we are humans and mistakes that are part of our life, accepting and learning from those mistakes and not making the same one again mould us up to become a better individual. This pandemic has been a life-changing one, and I believe each one of you had different experiences which are reminders for the rest of your lives. Give yourself a pat on the back for surviving strong. These experiences would one day become a part of your story to pass on for the generations to come along through your journey of life.
Write a note of gratitude to yourself, because even you deserve an appreciation for holding yourself up for another great year ahead!
Happy New Year - 2021, Let it shine bright with a new wave of hope and courage to pass on!
