A Note From @TosBoss
Dida Clifton
I created and grew a company that runs without me, retired my husband, and moved to rural Texas. Now I help others who want something similar with their business through our franchise opportunity and advisory services.
Good morning!? It's Sunday, so let's chat.
?
I hope you had a fabulous week. I returned from my trip to Vegas and was greeted by 5 very excited dogs. The husband was pretty happy too.?
?
This week's message, #31 - "Walk the walk" - brings back memories of growing up in the 70's.? Who else had a parent who said, "Don't do what I do.? Do what I tell you to do?"? ?It was a different time for sure.? No seat belts, playing outside until dark, and way before time outs.?
?
In your business, are you leading by example or being a boss?? TheOfficeSquad has several leaders these days but we all still participate when we're needed.? None of our Top 3 are afraid to take out the trash, answer a phone, or dig in and help out with any task if needed.? In the words of Tim McGraw, "Stay humble and kind."
?
I hope you find value in my message.

The Art of Leading by Example

Hey Small Biz Mavericks,
Let's have a straight talk about walking the walk. Back in the day, there was this old saying: "Don't do what I do. Do what I tell you to do."? My dad used it all the time. But you know what? In the business world, that just isn't gonna cut it.
?
Nope, if you want to lead a successful and happy team, you're going to have to lead by example. It's not about barking orders from the sidelines; it's about rolling up your sleeves and getting in the trenches.
?
What does it take to be a true leader?? It's not about the fancy title or the corner office—it's about the impact you have on those around you. As Simon Sinek wisely said, "Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge." It's about showing up, day in and day out, with integrity, humility, and empathy. It's about being the kind of leader that inspires others to be their best selves.
?
So, fellow entrepreneurs, let's make a pact to lead by example—to walk the walk and show our teams what true leadership looks like. Because when we lead with authenticity and purpose, there's no limit to what we can achieve together.
