A Note From Katie Macc
As we embark on a new year, our team is excited to work on several new and continuing initiatives which you can read about in this month’s newsletter.
One of those new initiatives, led by myself and my colleague Robert Munson , aims to explore how to preserve impact as an increasing number of mission-driven businesses transition into public markets. Like so much of our work, this applied research initiative aims to identify core principles that can contribute to a more resilient impact investing ecosystem and help protect the promise of impact investing as it grows.
Building that ecosystem is one of the many reasons why, since our inception more than 13 years ago, training the next generation of impact leaders is foundational to our goals and vision. We were pleased to see our student program featured in a new article from the Financial Times about the growing trend of impact investing opportunities for students in higher ed. Next month, we are accepting applications for our 2025-2026 cohort of impact investing interns — we encourage you to share this with any potential candidates.
We look forward to sharing our progress on these projects and more with you in the coming months. In these changing times, we are privileged to work alongside you as we strive toward a future where impact is seamlessly integrated into all that we do.
