Hiring Managers Woes: A Candid Message for Job Seekers

Today, I experienced regular frustration, like many hiring managers go through daily.
Despite carving out time on my week off to meet candidates and accommodate their schedules without expecting them to jeopardize their current job commitments, several were no-shows for their interviews. This situation has prompted me to share my thoughts with all job seekers out there.
As HR professionals, we understand the excitement and anxiety that come with job hunting. But here's a little insight into our side of the story. When you attend an interview, remember that it's not just about you being assessed; it's also an opportunity for you to evaluate us. Hiring managers assess and hire you first based on your attitude; your talent and experience follow later.
I often encounter questions like "What is the salary?" or "How many leaves do I get?" before the interview process even begins. While these questions are vital, timing is key. Ask them once you've received that exciting call saying you've aced the interviews, and we want you on board.
A humble request: be punctual for your interview appointments. Be polite and warm in your interactions. Remember, your professionalism and attitude are being evaluated every step of the way.

Best wishes to all job seekers out there. Stay positive, and keep persevering!
