Norton SS and RR no more? Long live the CR and SV?
I just read and if understood correctly that the Norton V4 SS and RR as known and developed under Stuart Garner are to be dropped. Irreversible frame defects were known a while ago and may be part of the reason, may be the all black and chrome paint schemes are not so hit they hoped for either, the Union flag on the tail end is getting a little old hat now to. Norton I believe have offered customers interested in the old SS and RR models will be offered new dabs on the plain white/silver replacement called the V4 SV. Frame and paint aside, the concept stripped back version called the V4 CR also an anaemic colour need to stand more for hefty price Norton no doubt will be asking? I I made from feedback changes not only to make the bike with a pillion capability but to illustrate this. A full run down of changes of what and why can be seen on the link with the CR makeover.

Like others I am also unclear concerning Norton’s future range, TVS have backed the move to their new factory and invested heavily, the yearlong service of the outgoing c/o has not clarified much and I wish the new c/o all the best, but as comments on social media say Norton’s needs to really up their game considerably regarding better communication with customers and fans alike, I can also sympathize here. With the new changes have the arrangements with the Chinese engine suppliers effected their smaller cc range as the Chinese wanted to buy Norton at the same time ? At a crossroads right now will Norton look at new electric bikes? Electric are arriving in mass soon, so how and where to invest has to be looked at carefully, TVS are keen on electric bikes so may be the time is now to run a limited petrol range, and affordable range to cover the transition before making the switch? Either way Norton they will be playing catch up. Time is ticking. ??????????
