NorthLanding Financial Partners Q2 Market Commentary

Attached in the link above is our second quarter market commentary and overview on some of the more noteworthy asset class movements we observed over the last 90 days. While markets generally were positive or at least steady during this time period, several interesting performance divergences occurred. When asset class performance deviates to the extent it has recently, it tends to highlight the value of investment portfolio rebalancing. Hence, we discuss the early results of our most recently completed portfolio rebalancing in April. For example in Q2 we witnessed a sharp selloff in emerging markets (an asset class we had sold in April) and a sharp rebound in U.S. REIT stocks (an asset class we had added to).
We enter the second half of the year cautiously optimistic that, should global trade and tariff concerns subside, conditions could become quite positive for investors.
