NorthernMSW 'Lavender Campaign' on Social Media
This is my way to give back.....this is me trying to maintain calm during what is definitely not a calm time at all considering what is going on around the world...
COVID-19 has taken over all of us, affects all of us, and the news is worsening daily...
Lavender Campaign to represent all that is happening with COVID-19! :)
Lavender as an herb has so many benefits and so much symbolism...and I believe people should be proactive rather than reactive. Gratitude, caring, and kindness go a long way-particularly right now. This is the time to be grateful and caring vs. selfish and mean...
So, I am asking everyone to join me in the; Lavender Campaign!
Lavender Campaign online: The significance of lavender, the colour (my favourite) and the meaning of it speaks to me in so many ways...
Lavender is known to represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness. In addition to the flower itself, its purple color also comes with great symbolism. If you are spiritual, if you follow and use herbs and know the benefits of them, then this will all make sense to you. If not, I believe in awareness raising...
Purple is the color of royalty, pink the color of youth, and lavender is femininity all grown up! Hence, me as a little girl going from loving pink to loving lavender and purple colours!
Lavender is commonly used for anxiety, stress, and insomnia. It is valued for being soothing and calming. It has antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties as well. Lavender-in many cultures and traditions is a sign for love, romance, and devotion. It is also associated with protection, happiness, rest, and bringing peace to relationships. Lavender blooms in the spring.
Will you plant it or use it in the form of essential oil?
Knowing all of the above, to me, this is the perfect 'flower' or herb in our current times...
The colour of purple itself has much symbolism as well: the person who likes this colour tens to be sensitive, understanding, compassionate, gentle and free-spirited, supportive, the one people come to for help, BUT, some people take advantage of this. Learn to set boundaries and limits and to say, "No".
The colour purple relates to the crown chakra (top of the head), inspiration, creativity, beauty and the organ associated it is the brain (makes sense). The colour is linked to imagination and spirituality. Purple and violet represent the future, imagination and dreams. It is an introspective color, allowing us to get in touch with our deeper thoughts.
Personality Traits are: inspirational leaders, kind and just humanitarians, visionary, creative, and strong mentally.
Positive Keywords: unusual/individual, creative/inventive, psychic and intuitive, humanitarian, selfless, mystery, fantasy, and the future.
As for me: I believe I am a mix of all this and more. Royalty? Could be? My father's side of the family did leave England in the 1600's for the USA. I do not live in a fantasy world and am very realistic. I am spiritual and non-religious. I do see the benefits to herbs and homeopathic remedies and have used them many times (thank you to my maternal grandmother).

Lilac Coaching - Guiding One on their Healing Journey
4 年A connection of mine asked me the real purpose of this campaign when I launched it; 5 months later I can finally answer that question!! It fits in with my Life and Wellness Coaching I have just launched! Lilac Coaching! As one who is a trained social worker, intuitive, an empath- Coaching is a natural fit for me. I have much to offer and anyone reading my profile or who knows me; lots of personal life events to relate to! Why Lilac as they name? My maternal grandmother loved lilacs and the colour. She taught me all about homeopathy and natural foods and about supplements. She was an amazing lady. The name is to honour her memory. Plus! I love lilacs and their smell in May????
