Here is Salvo 259, my not-quite-weekly blog, featuring travels and experiences north of the border, including community rail awards, battery trains, station bookshops and devilish porridge. There's an extended thought piece on British politics, post-Brexit, and how it relates to us poor benighted Northern folk. It's not all heavy duty stuff though, featuring some pleasant places to eat and drink and a walk through an 'enchanted forest' - and a great railway museum. Plus a good haul of readers' letters.
