North State Fires

Is this an early fire season OR our “new normal” as Governor Brown once said to us? Regardless, the fires have erupted in Northern California and with Evacuation “Warnings” come MANDATORY Evacuations as firefighters converge on the scene. This then leads to Law Enforcement Mutual Aid (LEMA) with Butte County RMAC III (Sheriff Honea) taking the lead ensuring Plumas County get the necessary resources to protect life and property 7000+ evacuees forced to leave their property. While in Plumas County, I was able to get a brief out by Sheriff Johns and then an overview by...now newly elected Supervisor Hagwood, who was previous Sheriff during my tenure. Great insight to the rough terrain and challenges of fires on federal land.
