North Mill Creek Outfall Replacement

This is what we at Zachry Construction refer to as #ZACHRYSTRONG. This crew lead by Mr. Scottie Smith, Mr. Steven Miller and Mr. Terry Whitson recently retired an 18" sewer bypass system that engaged numerous Godwin/ Xylem main bypass pumps and intermediate Godwin/ Xylem collector pumps that have run 24/7 for the last 16.5 months , pumping an average of 2.5 MGD in order to allow for 15000 lf of 27" VCP to be replaced with 15000 lf of 42"/36" HOBAS fiberglass pipe. A tight schedule, remote access, difficult site conditions and materials are but a few of the issues that this crew took head on and performed flawlessly. Lots of late nights, tough weather, changing pump watch schedules, and COVID 19 issues only strengthened their resolve to finish this project and achieve substantial completion within the prescribed deadline.
