Normalize Uncertainty

Normalize Uncertainty

IT’S OKAY TO FEEL UNSURE WHEN STARTING SOMETHING NEW

Starting something new often brings a mix of excitement and uncertainty. You might find yourself questioning your abilities or feeling a bit scared. Guess what? You’re not alone! Feeling unsure is a completely normal part of any new journey, and it happens to everyone, no matter how confident they may appear on the outside.

Think about the first time you tried riding a bike or starting a new job. Those initial wobbles and hesitations were just part of the process, and eventually, you found your balance. The same goes for any new endeavor, whether it’s adopting more nutritious eating habits, starting a new exercise routine, or entering into a career change.

It’s important to recognize that these feelings don’t define your success or your potential. They are simply a part of the journey, a natural response to stepping out of your comfort zone and into the unknown. Instead of feeling ashamed or defeated, embracing these emotions can be empowering. It means you’re pushing your boundaries, learning, and growing.

Remember, even the most successful people have felt unsure at some point. They’ve faced the same fears and doubts but chose to move forward anyway. By normalizing these feelings, you can shift your perspective and understand that uncertainty is just a sign that you’re on the right path to something new and exciting.

So freaking true!! Our subconscious' job is to predict outcomes during times of uncertainty. When we are growing, changing that is the trigger that creates all the stories our minds tell us to keep us "safe" or in the exact same spot where we know what's next. Bottom line...if you aren't feeling uncertain, you are growing.
