Nordic Showcase during the ASEAN-Norway delegation programme
During 20 – 23 November, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted around 20 representatives from various ASEAN ministries (who are part of the working group for Chemical and Waste and Smart Cities).
?Their purpose of visit is to understand more of Singapore’s Circular Economy, Waste Management and Urban Planning initiatives, learn about interesting Nordic and Singapore solutions & best practices, and establish contact with potential business partners and solution providers.
During this programme, Nordic companies, working in the space of circular economy & waste management, had the opportunity to share more about their company & solutions to the delegates. Nordic Innovation House Singapore and the respective TPOs also presented about the Nordic countries and work we do.

The Singapore government announced a goal of tripling its #AI workforce to 15,000 on Dec 4, as part of a revised national AI strategy (NAIS) spurred by recent breakthroughs - particularly in generative AI.
The wide-ranging strategy also spans efforts to drive AI creation and usage by companies, support AI start-ups, update national research priorities, and strengthen data sharing and computing power. Singapore also aims to accelerate the exchange of ideas, with plans to establish an "iconic AI site" to nurture a tight-knit knowledge community (CNA ).?
Singapore Ranks 8th Overall in Startup Genome Report, Secures 4th in Fintech with Strong Sub-Sector Advantages
Singapore achieved above ranking with top sub-sector strengths in:
-Life sciences
-AI, Big Data and Analytics
-Agtech and New Food
The city-state is now home to around 4,000 tech startups, more than 220 incubators and accelerators, over 400 venture capital managers and an estimated 700 family offices (CNA ).

Medtech Innovator Asia Pacific Program 2024
MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific applications for 2024 are OPEN! They are the largest life science accelerator in the world, and their programs are now open for applications through January 31, 2024.
MedTech Innovator is the largest accelerator of medical devices in the world and the medical technology industry’s global showcase and accelerator for innovative medical device, digital health, and diagnostic companies. Their mission is to improve the lives of patients by accelerating the growth of companies that are transforming the healthcare system. Accelerator companies compete for up to US$ 300K in cash and awards.?
What they are looking for: They’re looking for outstanding early to mid-stage companies developing medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies to improve human health. Companies selected for MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific programs will receive high-profile visibility; access to investors, stakeholders, and decision-makers; a network of mentors and peers; and participation in a customized educational curriculum.
