Happy reading!
Solo Sokos Hotel Pier 4 is a new 164-room eco-friendly design hotel beautifully located in Helsinki. Designed by architect studio Anttinen Oiva Arkkitehdit Oy, Solo Sokos Hotel seamlessly blends natural materials, epic views of the Baltic Sea and local experiences. Guests can relax on the rooftop meadown overlooking the historical city center of the Finnish capital and dine in the harbour restaurant with local produce on the menu. Deeply committed to sustainability, Solo Sokos Hotel aims to obtain a LEED Platinum certification and carbon neutrality.
Villa Dahlia is the latest addition to Stockholm's boutique hotel scene. Set in a building from the 1960s, architect Per ?berg has succeeded in creating a townhouse that brings 1920's Milan to mind. The style leans towards casual elegance with subtle colour nuances and curated design completed by the owners. Although Villa Dahlia offers 103 rooms and therefore officially doesn't fit the category of 'boutique', it feels warm and cosy - like the perfect weekend getaway in the Swedish capital. This is the third hotel in Stockholm owned by the Malmstr?m/Cappelen family (the sister hotels are Villa Dagmar and Hotel Diplomat).
Livo Arctic Resort is nestled in the heart of Finnish Lapland. More a destination than a resort, this place must be the ultimate arctic experience! A luxurious village of 40 aurora-igloos, several restaurants and a stunning location next to Lake Livo, Livo Arctic Resort offers local experiences including snowmobiles, huskies, reindeers and access to large open skies with no electric lighting. The igloos are designed by GEOMETRIA .
Noma is a culinary institution in Copenhagen, but Winter 2024 will be the last season of Noma as we know it. Next year, the restaurant will transform into a giant food lab - a test kitchen dedicated to the world of food innovation. Noma will still offer pop-up experiences, but being a restaurant will no longer define them. René Redzeppi and team will continue their groundbreaking work in food, but also redefine how a restaurant team can function. They call it Noma 3.0.
Restaurant Under is not just any restaurant; it is located at the southernmost point of Norway's coastline - under water. This Spring, it reopened its doors with an entirely new team and a mesmerizing dining experience unlike anything other. The 34-meter-long restaurant descends into the water, resembling a sunken ship - and the dining room itself is located 5,5 meters below sea level. A brainchild of entrepreneurial brothers Stig and Gaute Ubostad, Restaurant Under is designed by Sn?hetta and seats 42 guests who can enjoy panoramic views of the local marine life while they dine.
