The other day, while strolling through a Japanese garden near my Florida home, the calmness, serenity, and the essence of nature transported me back to the Nordics, my lifelong home. There's something enchanting about experiencing a stress-free state of calmness, bliss, and harmony.

How often do we, as business operators, truly immerse ourselves in that state?

Let's be honest; it's a rare luxury. Now, ask yourself: Would you prefer a high-growth, high-stress business, or a highly profitable, zen-like venture that fosters calmness, safety, and above all, grants you the freedom and quality of life you desire?

For most of us, the latter is the undeniable choice.

Start by deciding what it is you actually want for yourself. And I don't mean how much money your business should make; you'll get to that later in the process. Start by asking what kind of life you want to live, starting today. Then, reverse-engineer that vision into a plan, design your business to meet your vision, and figure out how to make it work.
