The other day I submitted a prompt to ChatGPT and didn’t like the answer I received. I reflected on this experience and decided to share a few things…

Here we go…

6 things to keep in keep in mind when using AI, technology.in general, for work

1- Use tools that are specifically designed for your line of work whenever possible.

2- Gather some background information to write better prompts.

3- Attend conferences, training, etc. to keep abreast of current developments and know what you don’t know or need to know. Be an informed consumer/user.

4- Remember that technology is only a tool and that people’s expertise can’t be replaced in a sense, Consult subject matter experts directly/indeirectly regarding your specific question, project, etc, And remember that consultations and advisory services aren’t free

5- Read the fine print and ask to see their portfolio, testimonials, service offering descriptions, etc.

6- Make use applications interface/sync with your existing or future tech stack, and that applications have the features you need

BONUS:

Outsource, automate, delegate, the research/assessment and have the findings and recommendations reported to you and your team so you can decide what works best in terms of systems to adapt, timing of changes etc.
