None are perfect… error is Human

"To err is human; to forgive, divine." These lines from Alexander Pope's "An Essay on Criticism".
Even as I cite this phrase, I sense the weight of judgment in your gaze. How do we arrive at this place where we withhold grace, yet when we switch place, we desire others to give us grace? It is striking to see, in times past, how quickly we pick up stones to cast at community.
My mind does race as I thought community vast, and secure in this place. Still to be in community is more than words of unity. It is to strive to build threads of unity, far more than frailty of words which lack humanity. There must be effort properly place to build common-unity in any place, an effort towards understanding even when my words may not be properly placed.
As a group we may not agree, that is fair for anyone to see, yet it doesn't mean we shall always be...especially if we strive to speak our words responsibly, knowing none in our community will necessarily perform everything or anything perfectly.
So, as I cast my eyes down in blame, carrying this burden of shame for harm that I have lain. I search my heart wondering why my brethren stand so far apart. Is giving grace such a difficult part? Or is ridicule truly a preferred part. So cruel is that claim, while community, as oneself, and same.
Alas as I think of perfection as an alyssum one must seek. To think of myself as perfect, is truly vain….and even with this verse I cannot take away pain, nor make it plain…but community does not intentionally go about casting blame, because a community knows none are perfect upon this fleshy plain.
