hYPe, the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce's committee of young professionals will host their quarterly luncheon on Thursday, September 24th at Ruth's Chris Steak House. The luncheon will feature a panel discussion about how getting involved in the philanthropic community can drive personal and professional development. Panelists representing an array of non-profits, as well as various roles and levels of involvement,  will join us and shed some light on how to get involved, the path to a committee chair position and eventually a board of directors seat, YP programs within organizations, and more. 

Meet The Panel:

Jack LightonPresident & CEO, Loggerhead Marinelife Center  As President & CEO at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Lighton is responsible for LMC's strategy, committees, donor development, capital campaigns, finance, as well as the center's research, rehabilitation, education, conservation, marketing and volunteer departments. He has been with the center since March 2013. Prior to joining LMC, he worked as Senior Vice President of Global Client Services at Harris Interactive - Nielsen, which is one the world's largest custom market research and management consulting firms.

Kimberly McCartenExecutive Director, ARC of Palm Beach County  McCarten has been named President and CEO of The Arc of Palm Beach County after serving as the agency's Executive Director since September of 2014. The Arc is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families, through services, education and advocacy. The agency's nearly 200 team members touch the lives of more than 2,300 people each year through 11 programs across the county. 
 

Jennifer Amarnick, Director of Estate and Gift Planning, The American Cancer Society Amarnick has been with the American Cancer Society since 2009 serving as Director for Leadership Giving, working out of the West Palm Beach, Florida office. She was the staff lead for the Laureate Society in Palm Beach, along with the North Palm Beach Gala and some Relay for Life events.

 

Amyleigh Atwater, Advancement Associate, Place of Hope Atwater provides administrative support and executes plans for fundraising campaigns that further the advancement of Place of Hope. Some of her responsibilities include managing the advancement calendar, representing the organization at community and business-oriented events, copywriting marketing materials, communicating with donors and sponsors and working with committee members to plan and coordinate Place of Hope events.
 

Colonel Dan Lund, Board of Directors, Renewal Coalition  Colonel Lund brings to the Renewal Coalition Board a depth of valuable and diversified leadership experience. He commanded over 4700 service members and 4000 multi-national civilians while concurrently working as the senior US military official in the southern Basara Province, Iraq during combat operations. In addition to his military experience, Dan is the founder majority owner of Freedom Boat Club of the Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast.
