Non-Monetary Ways To Motivate Employees

The truth is money motivates us all to perform better. But almost everyone responds well to praise and recognition.

Since not all businesses can afford pay-rises and bonuses check out some other ways which can motivate staff and help retain employees.

Empower employees!                                                       

Every employee needs to feel valued and appreciated as an individual. Make sure that employees are given the opportunity to express themselves in the workplace. An example of this could be allowing members of your workforce to display aspirational personal items, such as a brochure for a dream vacation of theirs or a cut out of their dream car. Anticipating future rewards can improve the morale.

Eliminate boredom!

Boredom reduces productivity and deflates motivation. Create an environment that is lively and fun. Avoid routine by letting employees be inventive. Make sure that the most repetitive tasks don’t fall on the same people, delegate differently to mix things up! Schedule short breaks to allow employees to interact and check in with loved ones.

Incentivise and reward!

Hard work should always pay off – even if money is not a benefiting factor. Recognition and reward can remind employees that they are appreciated and make them feel valued. An example of an incentive could include an extra holiday day or an extended lunch break – this extra free time would be much appreciated and enjoyed!

Traditional understandings , not new thinking. If you import skill & introduce garbage respect, you will get garbage response , now where's the real thinking in ensuing the import provides what you implied at interview, if you give out crap, you will get crap. Give a body a chance regards your needs, you will find your mental requirements of employee will want to meet those needs, otherwise employee will find you only need to fill a gap in workforce to maintain recruiters position. ( well they filled the gaps needed) )didn't give a jot that I couldn't figure out if they could). My position was met, filled a gap, app closed, suitable until proved couldn't meet what I didn't put out!!!!!? Paul P B Kelly.
