Nominate Now for the British Photography Awards!

You have until the 10th of October to get your work featured in the upcoming British Photography Awards show.

The much anticipated British Photography Awards are open for entries and a date has been set for the awards presentation dinner, at London’s Savoy Hotel on January 28th 2019. Their modern 'Strata' system is now LIVE for all users, closing for submissions on October 10th.

To enter, all photographers living in the UK, or British photographers resident anywhere in the world can sign up on the website and create their own password-protected accounts. Protecting the rights and copyright of photographers is one of the key objectives of the organisers, who are British photographers themselves.

“We will be using entrants’ photography to help the world through charity support, while celebrating established and emerging British talent on the global stage”, say the organisers.

“We have a network of volunteer ambassadors running community outreach and an advisory board of big names from the photographic community. The expert judges include editors, curators, educators and professional photographers and add serious weight to the awards. This will ensure a well-considered, photographically balanced competition and the expanded category list means we are open to more practitioners. On top of this, we are working with some great media partners to give the sector the long overdue awards night it deserves.”

The category listings are expanded to 14 key areas of the art and they accept work from both professional and enthusiast level photographers. Aside from the trophies and bragging rights associated with such a prestigious event, the sponsors are donating framed and mounted copies of the work of those shortlisted, and the entertainment and hospitality at The Savoy will be fantastic.

It is billed to be a yearly event with a new media gallery show to follow, including both winners and shortlisted images.
