Nominate the Groundbreakers You Know

There’s no shortage of excellence to celebrate in construction. Whether it’s a role that stands out, a cutting-edge sector, or a company’s innovations that are shaping the future of construction, I am constantly amazed at the progress this industry has made since I joined construction 18 years ago.

Submissions are currently open for Procore's 2022 Groundbreaker Awards, which put a spotlight on the people, projects, and companies that are behind construction’s boldest achievements.

Are you or a company you know breaking ground in one of the following categories??

• Excellence in Sustainability: Goes to the company or project that most efficiently uses resources and embraces environmentally responsible processes through every stage of construction.
• Excellence in Innovation: Goes to the company that pushes the boundaries of construction technology. This could mean anything from data science, automation, machine learning, hardware, or software — any breakthrough that helps you build by challenging the status quo.
• Excellence in Safety: Goes to the company or project that represents the pinnacle of safety performance in our industry. Entrants will be evaluated by assessing each submission’s commitment to safety, occupational health management, and risk control.
• Excellence in Community: Goes to the company or project that meaningfully and positively impacts the surrounding community. This category is for companies, as well as projects that bring economic development and shape the community.?
• Excellence in Workforce Development: Celebrates the company that displays positive impacts and innovative strategies in retaining, actively promoting, or helping prepare the next generation for a career in construction.
• General/Main/Head Contractor: Celebrates overall project excellence by a General/Main/Head Contractor on projects including (but not limited to) commercial, education, healthcare, government, residential, or heavy civil.?
• Specialty Contractor/Subcontractor: Celebrates overall project excellence by a Specialty Contractor/Subcontractor on projects including (but not limited to) concrete, electrical, mechanical, plumbing or other trade areas.
• Owner: Celebrates overall project excellence by an Owner on projects including (but not limited to) ground-up development, capital improvements, manufacturing, energy, and multi-location projects.
• Groundbreaker of the Year: For the individual who embodies professional performance and whose dedication to progress exemplifies the highest standards of our industry.

Groundbreaker Awards are an opportunity for global recognition at Procore’s annual conference and press coverage, brand differentiation, inspiring industry innovation, attracting talent, and celebrating your team.?

Submissions are open until July 1st and winners will be announced live at Groundbreak in November. Submit your team if you’re a Procore customer. Or, if you know a company that uses Procore that has a great story, share this program with them and encourage them to submit.
