Noice Stories: Drew Townley, VP Growth

Who are you, Drew? Where do you come from professionally?

I’m VP Growth here at Noice. I’m the lead on all things creators, social, and marketing. Previously, I was the Managing?Director of an agency called Kairos Media, and Chief Growth Officer of a holdings company where we had a talent management business, an agency, a creator business, and an e-sports organization - just to name a few of the things I’ve been involved in. Through this, my knowledge of marketing services had to get really into the modern world, so to speak - I started with influencer marketing, then after that, influencers & social. After that, I added things like strategy, production, paid media and things like that. I didn’t have a choice but to learn. I was at Kairos for?nearly?5 years.

I come from humble beginnings and got my start at Kairos when I didn’t really know what else to do - for this, I’m extremely grateful. So when it comes to these marketing and creator roles that we’re recruiting for, I’ve done all of those things, not way too long ago. I’ve been in those trenches.

What do you do at Noice? Tell us a little bit about marketing at Noice.

I'm on the executive team and?lead the creator, social?and marketing teams. A lot of it right now is about user and creator acquisition. From a marketing perspective, we split organic social and paid social into different teams. Organic social sits under the?Social?Team. Paid social and paid campaigns will be the marketing team’s task.

Why did you choose to work at Noice? What were some of the things, people, or ideas that lured you in?

A few things were combined here that I didn’t believe could be combined.

• I wanted to try something new. And ideally,?in tech or building a product
• I wanted to work in gaming because it’s what I’ve?has success?in and what I love.
• Noice operates within a high-potential industry that hasn't really had a lot of innovation.
• The people here are amazing.

That’s why I joined.

What can you be found doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I play games and watch games. And if I'm not doing those things, I’m going to be at the gym or playing football, recently also playing golf. I also love to just relax at home.?Slow days are underrated.
