I’m Not Perfect! (And I’ve got no shame)

LOL, last month I heard hundreds of hilarious stories about NOT being perfect during my International Women’s Day masterclasses.?It was like therapy.

People tuned in from all over the world and shared stories of scoring own goals (oops), sitting on wet patches in white trousers, the boardroom soup-down-dress-disaster and broadcast brain freeze!

One of my very senior clients in LA shared her story of a high profile meeting at the London Stock Exchange. Just before getting out of the London taxi, all her jacket buttons popped off! Arhhhhh.

Last week, the theme was perfectionism and why it holds us back!

Nobody’s perfect!?Phew. Here’s one of many “imperfect” stories…(taken from my book pg. 102).

The story here is that I was getting ready to speak at a conference in London and I realised I needed a fresh black top to wear under my bright green (St Patrick’s Day) jacket.?

I was in a rush, so I quickly got my iron out, turned up the heat and psssss – the sizzling sound and acrid smell was the give-away.?I burnt a hole in my lovely top.

Confession, I wore my holy black vest back-to-front (I cut the label out) so no one would notice the gaping hole in the back.?Shhh don’t tell anyone.

That day I looked like a swan, effortlessly speaking at the PA conference.?Little did anyone know I had been paddling furiously underneath the water to get there!?
