Nobody wants to get rich Slow!

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
It is true that not everyone but most of the people want to become rich, as they think that money makes many things. There are peoples who never bothers about money, like saints, yogis. The zeal to earn money will come from secularism, humans will try to secure food, house, daily expenditure, transpiration etc. Trying for more than required, leads a human to earn more money and changes his ideology to become rich.
Actually wanting to become rich is not merely because you want happiness, it is also because of respect and power enjoyed by the Rich and Super Rich people in the society and the industry in general.
Before I had that kind of obsession for money, I was living in simple and purely happy environment. I had lots of people wanting me to be around, admire me because of my look and personality, being in relationship with someone we love, and feel the love purely.
And unfortunately that kind of feeling does not last long, once you grow older, people are not looking at you as same as before. The people you love with your entire heart suddenly cheating on a guy who has decent job, cars, and they are planning to marry. The other people who were admiring you one by one vanished because now they are admiring someone successful in business or having high position at work with high salary. Your look, personality, musical talent, sport talent, does not matter anymore.
Suddenly one fine day your way of thinking has changed. You need money to get back all the things you lost, or you would be alone forever, no one will need you or respect you, because the world is not for losers. When people are scared of losing the one they love or losing the attention, admiration, and respect, because they are not rich, and they do not have enough brain to produce one, they will try finding ways to acquire it, even by doing bad things such as stealing, corruption, fraud, killing, gambling, etc. Once again, rich obsession is not all about happiness, it is also about power and respect.
All said and done that money can't buy happiness, but it can ward of a lot of kinds of unhappiness. If you get laid of from your job and can't pay the mortgage, you're going to feel pretty unhappy. If your car breaks down and you have to go deeper into debt to get your transmission replaced just to get to work, you're going to feel unhappy. If your child gets sick and your insurance sucks and you're left deciding between paying the electric bill this month and paying for her medication, you're going to feel pretty lousy. In situations like that, being rich wouldn't necessarily fix everything, but it would make things quite a bit better.
And when people say that money doesn't buy happiness, they mean that the mere fact of having money doesn't bring you transcendent joy, and it doesn't prevent all earthly pain either. But lack of money tends to make all those pains worse. If you have marital problems, that sucks, but it sucks worse if you're under constant financial stress, both working 80-hour weeks to pay the bills and can't even find time to talk.
However, if you have health problems, that sucks, but it's worse if you're being bankrupted by medical bills, can't take time off work to recover, and you have to take the bus to the hospital because you can't afford to fix your car. If your child is acting up, that's a pain, but it's easier to deal with if you can afford counselors, child psychologists, and can take time off from work to spend with them.
This reminds me of a famous country song...
I ain’t rich, but I damn sure wanna be
Working like a dog all day, ain’t working for me,
I wish I had a rich uncle that’d kick the bucket
And that I was sitting on a pile like Warren Buffett
I know everybody says
Money can’t buy happiness
But it could buy me a boat, it could buy me a truck to pull it...
I personally believe that being rich will not make you happy, but then again neither will being poor. I prefer to build up some cash so that my life is a little easier, but not focus so much on it that I lose sight of the things that are really important like relationships. Here's an article I wrote about creating wealth, including my take on the fact that money isn't everything. The last point, enjoying life, is what many people forget or lose in the pursuit of money. Cheers!
Start every day with a SMILE!

3 年Kishore thank you very much for your mention! What is worse is if one had a taste of money than lost it all ! Then you miss and care more because your life was better! If one never tasted candy they don’t know what they are missing! Money in the US gives you power and no worries as far as where your next meal comes from etc! So I am sorry money makes all problems easier to handle! Have a blessed day!??????????????????????????????????
