After 7+ years of Coaching and training High Achievers for hundreds of hours in groups, and one-on-one settings I have seen a lot of problems and obstacles that people deal with.
Also, during my prior guiding and teaching roles one of the biggest responsibilities I had was to support people to overcome the challenges they had.
So, I am confident that with my experience I have something to say about why we get stuck and lack Growth.?
There are obviously countless reasons of why we might lack this forward momentum, yet on the root level there are only very few reasons and principles that slow us down.?
And what I have seen and experienced in my Coaching practice I can honestly say that the No.1 reason is this:

We Get in Our Own Way!
?
As simple as that. Performers do that, and the highest of the highest achievers do that as well as so-called ordinary people. At times we all get in our own ways.
We give ourselves excuses, we talk ourselves out of the resistant experiences that would otherwise produce growth, we give up early, lack consistency, and have limiting beliefs because we are on our own way.
Most people though are not able to see this reality because they are looking at their own situations from within. As we all know, we cannot see the labels from inside.
We need to get out of our own limited thinking and reality to be able to see the bigger picture hence Coaching is such a powerful force for change.?
Your Coach is able to show you what you do not see, ask questions that will provide transformative answers, and support you when you slip back in front of your own self.?

3 ways to Get Out of Your Own Way
Get a Coach.
This goes without saying. If you want to really improve, shrink your timeline, and expedite the process, Coach is a must-have.
No one who is serious about their game and results is playing without a Coach. In the field of sports and high performance, most people understand that their own resources and energy can only carry them so far.
As a matter of fact, the best performers often have multiple Coaches for different disciplines that they practice.?

Journal.
Journaling is a powerful act that can function as a self-coaching tool.
You get to see your own thinking on a piece of paper. Especially when done long-handed, meaning with pen and paper, we can slow down our thinking to the speed of our writing and so able to make a bit more sense of our thoughts.?
We can also draw mind maps and jot down ideas as they come us to understand them better from that outside-in perspective.
The best time to journal is often the very first thing in the morning and the last before bed.
Move.
Physical movement is one of the best ways to organize our thinking and make sense of the madness that might be causing havoc between our ears.?
For me personally, some of the best ideas and insights come while I am running up in the mountains on my own. Running is also one of the purest and simplest forms of human movement.
It is also where most people feel free, alive, and connected to the present moment. And we are most certainly out of our own way.
There are obviously countless other ways to unstuck ourselves, so I wanted to ask you now,?how have you limited your own growth recently, and how have you gotten out of your own way?
