Happy New Year everyone, and welcome to the 8th edition of No-nonsense Lead Gen Insights, and the first edition of 2024! We hope that you all had a fab Christmas break, and enjoyed some well-earned rest and downtime. We’re shaking things up a bit in this edition of our newsletter, with a few new additions which you can expect to see moving forward. Let’s crack on!
Firstly, we have had an influx of new subscribers to our newsletter over the Christmas period, so if you are new here, welcome and thank you for subscribing! You can catch up with the other editions of the newsletter which you may have missed here , and read about our insights on topics such as data handling, and the benefits of outsourcing telemarketing!
Company chronicles
We kicked 2024 off with a bang last week, as we had an organisational change company sign up with us for a piece of database cleansing work! They specialise in life sciences, and we are excited to start cleaning their data for them so that they can use it in their marketing activities.
The start of the year was also an exciting time internally for Trifle, as one of our team officially took on a new role! For the last half of 2023, our Senior Telemarketer, Ryan, was in training for his new role, and as of this month, he has now stepped into the role of Team Leader! Congratulations Ryan, we are excited to have you leading our telemarketing team and overseeing our campaigns, we are sure you will smash the role!
Our company news very neatly takes me on to another new addition to our newsletter, which is our Employee Spotlight! You can expect to see us putting the spotlight on a member of Team Trifle in every other newsletter, and for the first one, we’ll be putting the spotlight on our Team Leader, Ryan!
Ryan has been with Trifle since 2020, and has worked his way up the ranks from being a Telemarketing Executive, to then being a Senior Telemarketer, and recently he has officially stepped into the role of Telemarketing Team Leader!
Ryan has generated leads for several of our customers during his time with us, including Giganet, Airband and AM Bid, and he has also put his data cleansing and survey completing hats on when we’ve needed him, for customers such as GreenThumb, Eque2 and several UK Chambers of Commerce.
When he’s not generating lots of high-quality leads for Trifle, Ryan loves to perform, and is the frontman of his own band, Chicken Man and the Bad Eggs – you can see him in his element in the image above!
We had a quick Q&A session with Ryan, let’s see what he had to say…
What’s your favourite thing about being a part of Team Trifle?
It’s definitely working with such an amazing team, and always having support on-hand.
What has been your biggest achievement during your time at Trifle?
My biggest achievement has been starting this job with zero telemarketing experience, to now progressing to a Team Leader role!
What’s the most valuable piece of advice you would give to a fellow telemarketer?
No question is silly – if you don’t ask, you won’t know.
And most importantly… What’s your go-to karaoke song?!
(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones, every time!

As you can see from the work we are doing for our new organisational change client, Trifle is not just an expert telemarketing company. We also offer high-quality data cleansing services.
This is what Ian Walker, the director of GreenThumb, approached us for at the end of 2022. Have a look at what he had to say about us below…
“We engaged Trifle Solutions for a 6-week data cleansing campaign, calling our existing customer base to confirm their email addresses. This year, we transferred to paperless invoices for our customers in a bid to reduce our carbon footprint, and Trifle was able to collect the contact information of one third of our customers, and find out that another third of them do not use email! This was very insightful for us, and allowed us to make the necessary accommodations for our customers. We were highly impressed by Trifle’s accuracy, work-rate, and thorough reporting. They will be my first port of call should we need any further campaigns carried out!”
If you are in a similar boat to GreenThumb and need your data cleaned as part of your quest to go paperless, you can book a call with us here .
Trifle’s Telemarketing Insights: The importance of relationship building
You will see that a common theme of my LinkedIn posts at the latter end of this week is the importance of relationship building, and nurturing our prospects. So, here are my top 5 reasons why this is crucial in telemarketing:
Trust and credibility: Relationship building and nurturing helps to establish trust and credibility with potential customers. People are more likely to engage with and ultimately buy from businesses they trust.
Understand needs and preferences: By having meaningful conversations and actively listening, telemarketers can tailor their approach and offerings to better meet the prospect’s requirements.
Positive brand perception: Even if a prospect is not ready to make a purchase immediately, maintaining regular and respectful contact keeps your business on top of mind when they are ready to make a decision.
Repeat business and referrals: Satisfied customers who have a positive relationship with a business are more likely to become loyal clients and recommend your company to others.
People buy people: The most important one! People buy people, rather than what those people are selling to them. Building relationships with your prospects and nurturing them will make them like you more, and therefore warm them up to buying you (and, subsequently, your product or service).
