Hello everyone, and welcome to the 10th edition of No-Nonsense Lead Gen Insights! Apologies for this edition being a week later than expected, we have had some exciting bits going on behind-the-scenes.
Love is in the air for this particular edition of our newsletter, as we are publishing on Valentine’s Day! Depending on where you are in the country, there is a little more sunshine in the sky too, if you manage to catch it before the clouds come back out! Spring is getting closer and closer, and it’s nice to see a little more daylight each day.
Company Chronicles
It’s been a busy but exciting few weeks for Team Trifle!
We have just had a renewal from our customer who specialises in Property Investment training courses, as well as a further renewal from our customer who sells AV equipment for education and corporates. We also finished our database cleansing campaign for our organisational change customer last week, and our telemarketing campaign for our recruitment search client!
After a bit of a quiet January things have ramped up in February, and we are excited to carry on working hard and making our marketing efforts even more targeted!
As promised, it’s time for another Trifle employee spotlight! This time round, we’ll be putting the spotlight on our lovely Business Development Executive (and Chief Happiness Officer), Katie!
Katie has been with Trifle since March last year, and her first (nearly) 12 months with us have gone so quickly! As well as working hard to generate lots of leads for us, Katie has also been appointed as Trifle’s Chief Happiness Officer, which means that every Friday, it’s her job to come up with a fun game for the team to play during the morning meeting… and let’s just say things can get competitive!
During her time with us so far, Katie has worked on both the B2C and B2B sides of our campaign with Airband, as well as working on our campaigns with Daisy Communications, and our client who specialises in AV equipment for education and corporates. She also flew the flag on the second round of work we did for the Association of Corporate Treasurers back in September!
When she’s not generating lots of high-quality leads for Trifle, Katie loves to get out and walk her dog!
We had a quick Q&A session with Katie, let’s see what she had to say…
What’s your favourite thing about being a part of Team Trifle?
The people I work with!
What has been your biggest achievement during your time at Trifle?
Being appointed as Chief Happiness Officer, and also smashing the campaign that we did for the Association of Corporate Treasurers!
What’s the most valuable piece of advice you would give to a fellow telemarketer?
Don’t conclude things straight away, unless the answer you get is from a decision-maker. Keep plugging away at things and doing those callbacks, and you will get more and more qualified conclusions!
And most importantly… What’s your go-to karaoke song?!
‘Black Velvet’ by Alannah Myles!

Trifle’s Telemarketing Insights: It’s an amazing lead gen method, but not on its own!
At Trifle, we love telemarketing – it is our bread and butter. But when it comes to working with our clients and selling to our prospects, we make it clear that it should not be the only spoke on their marketing wheel. Telemarketing needs to be used in conjunction with your LinkedIn campaigns, your email marketing campaigns, your lumpy mail campaigns… Why, I hear you ask?
Multichannel approach: Combining telemarketing with other channels allows you to reach your target audience through various mediums. People have different preferences for communication, and a multichannel approach ensures that you connect with prospects in ways that suit them best.
Increased touchpoints: The more touchpoints you have with a prospect, the more likely they are to remember and engage with your brand. Telemarketing provides a personal touch that can complement the more impersonal nature of email or social media outreach, creating a stronger overall impression.
Building relationships: Telemarketing allows for real-time, interactive conversations, enabling you to build relationships and address prospect concerns more effectively. It adds a human element that is often lacking in purely digital interactions.
Trust and credibility: Building trust is crucial in sales, and telemarketing contributes to this by establishing a personal connection. The human touch can enhance the credibility of your brand and make prospects more comfortable moving forward in the sales process.
Timeliness: Telemarketing can also be used as a very timely addition to your other marketing methods, if done correctly. For example, if you send an email campaign to a list of prospects, then the next step would be to jump on the phones the next day, to the people who have opened your email and clicked on your links, while the email is still fresh in their minds. The longer you leave it to follow up, the colder the interest from your prospects will become.
Looking to start a telemarketing campaign, but don’t want to commit to anything just yet?
Before starting any campaign, we offer our customers a free telemarketing trial, so that you can see us in action before committing to anything, and we can show you the value upfront. Here’s how the trial works…
o?? The quality of your data
o?? The appetite for your product or service
o?? What would realistically be achievable for a long-term campaign
If you would like to find out more about how we work and our free trial, you can book a call with us here.
Thanks for reading! As things are getting busier and busier for us, we are very excited for what the next few months have in store, and we can’t wait to share it with you all.
We will see you next time with more tips, updates, and insights.
