NMSDC and NASLCC sign Historic Strategic Business Development Agreement with Billions of Dollars at Play

New York, (February 6, 2018) - The National Association of State Latino Chambers of Commerce (NASLCC) and the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) signed in Chicago a historic memorandum of understanding to provide training, and business opportunities for Latino businesses in the United States and Puerto Rico.

"We look forward to this great partnership. The NASLCC is well positioned to grow the pool of Minority owned firms doing business with Corporate America”, said Louis Green, President of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

NMSDC will work with state and local Latino chambers through their local NMSDC councils. They will work to build capacity by providing certification training and access to procurement opportunities with Corporate America.

The NASLCC will promote the NMSDC national conference and help increase the participation of Latino owned firms at the local and national level. “Our member chambers interact with tens of thousands of Latino firms daily. This powerful structure will be in full display moving forward and this MOU is the perfect vehicle to showcase our reach”, stated Frank Garcia Chairman of NASLCC and Chairman of the New York Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.

Frank Montes, Vice Chairman of the NASLCC and Chairman of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce said, “California is the largest Latino market in the country, we are excited to be a part of this historic MOU. For too long, our Latino business community has had limited access to Corporate America. Our local chambers finally have a powerful ally in NMSDC to build bridges with Corporate America”.

“This partnership is indeed historic and opens the door for Hispanic/Latino businesses and creates a path of success, growth, and wealth creation”, said Samuel Guzman, Chairman of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce.
